Ocean Conservation District will host Intro to Agroforestry Seminar on Saturday, October 15th from 10am to 12pm at the Earthscape Farm (4220 E Loop Rd., Hesperia). Nathan Ayers and Bill Bobier will introduce the concepts and practices of Agroforestry as they are being implemented at Earthscape Farm. Agroforestry is the integration of trees and shrubs with crop and animal production systems. These systems focus primarily on soil health, water quality and the diversification of food production systems. Presenters will share information on five agroforestry systems for West Michigan farms, forests, and landowners.
