ADVOCACY

The Michigan Association of Conservation Districts (MACD) provides a unified, state level voice for the 75 Conservation Districts in Michigan. MACD advocates for state policy and funding levels that reflect the mission and goals of our Conservation District members.

MACD’s governing board, the State Council, defines conservation policy priorities based on member-adopted positions defined through a grass-roots policy process. Member Conservation Districts are provided the opportunity to participate to voice their priorities, with policies debated and adopted annually by members at the MACD Annual Meeting.
